NEW! In January 2011, we will begin registering official's organizations in all areas of the state. A registered and approved organization can be a U.I.L, T.A.S.O, or independent group.
In 2011, ALL officials will be required to attend or view the T«CAL A.C.C.O.R.D video presentation, and officials must be registered through the state office. For questions concerning rules and interpretations for every sport visit the National Federation of State High School Associations. Rules pertaining to ALL contests are governed according to the NFHS, and are available for purchase on their website. Local chapters certifying officials should provide rule books and training materials to officials in every sport.
If you are a member or part of an "independent" official's organization, and would like to be eligible and approved to officiate and assign T«CAL contests, please contact the Director of Athletics, Jason M. Balli at (210) 522-1463 ext. 105 or send an e-mail with the words "Officials" in the subject line to teamtcal@gmail.com
To locate officials in your area contact the Texas Association of Sports Officials or the U.I.L.

Officials' pay, including mileage reimbursement, is soley agreed upon between athletic directors/administrators of each T«CAL member school, and local official's chapter representatives during ongoing discussions. Subject to change annually.
